Finalist In Science & Math-Based Art Contest
The jury review pool has selected two entries of Mathematical complexity of the water: Green Draggon and Strange Attractor, Los Alamos, New Mexico(Usa).
The jury composed by scientifics, mathematicians and artists judges the visual interest and impact, the originality and innovation and the representation of a scientific Mathematical principle or Phenomena.
The Science and Math-Based Art Contest Festival of Discovery, Invention and Innovation Next Big Idea had received over 900 total entries and the mine is one of 150 finalists in the running for a chance to win a prize next time.

Mathematical complexity of the water
Science & Math- based Art Contest Next Big Idea presenta en su Festival of Discovery, Invention and Innovation, Los Alamos, New Mexico(EEUU), "Mathematical complexity of the water".
En esta investigación, el arte y las matemáticas crean el universo emergente del arte de la complejidad, y en particular, de un nuevo tipo de arte matemático basado en el azar y el caos de los sistemas complejos, de la química extraña del agua y la física de la luz.
El nuevo tipo de arte es el arte fractal natural cuyas representaciones conocidas como fractales naturales corresponden a la interacción de procesos naturales en construcción relacionados con principios, conceptos y formulaciones matemáticas, químicas y físicas.
Los fractales naturales tienen una larga tradición de existencia en la propia Naturaleza, pero el arte fractal natural es nuevo y practicamente desconocido frente al arte fractal digital que utiliza software. La autora los descubrió para el arte contemporáneo en 1987 y los cuatro ejemplos que se muestran en este Festival pertenecen a la Colección de fuentes experimentales del arte de la complejidad y, en particular, a las condiciones iniciales de un proceso dinámico en el agua.
El arte fractal natural y las matemáticas fractales crean como crea la propia naturaleza sus construcciones complejas, esto es, con la concurrencia simultánea de propiedades basadas en las matemáticas y la complejidad, entre otras, la autosimilitud, la autopoiesis, la esencia geométrica del caos, la agregación y la percolación en su potencial emergente que permite combinar la regularidad y el caos para alcanzar la belleza en imáganes fractales.
El arte de la complejidad y el arte fractal natural es un lenguaje de creación estética en imágenes únicas de la propia Naturaleza.
